How do I choose to pay by monthly instalments when I place my order?
- Choose your items
- Add the items you want to your shopping cart. Your shopping cart must be between CHF 100 and CHF 10'000 (CHF 5'000 for new customers)
- Place your order and fill in your details. The billing address and delivery address must be identical
- The credit check is performed in the background. If the result is negative, please refer to the next section, “Why is the monthly payment option not available?”.
- Select "0% instalment payment" at the "Payment information" stage in your shopping cart
- Once your order has been sent, you will receive an e-mail from CembraPay with your invoice
- Pay monthly according to the selected payment plan
Why is the monthly payment option not available?
If your credit rating is negative and payment by instalments is rejected, you can make a new order with another secure payment method (credit card, PayPal, prepayment, etc.). Here are some reasons why the payment method may be refused:
- You are underage
- Your main place of residence is not in Switzerland or Liechtenstein
- The delivery address is different from the billing address (including delivery at a collection point or delivery to a company)
- The address is new and not yet registered with Cembrapay (e.g. new building)
- There are still outstanding amounts from a previous order
- The shopping cart is too low (under CHF 100) or too high (over CHF 10’000 or CHF 5’000 for new customers)
Is it really interest-free?
Yes, if you choose the 0% monthly instalment payment option, you pay no interest. However, fees will be charged in the event of late payment.
Can I combine monthly payments with discount codes or gift vouchers?
Yes, you can pay for part of your order with a gift voucher and the rest with an instalment payment. Discount codes are also valid for all payment methods.
Where can I read the general terms and conditions?
Section 12 of our general terms and conditions sets out the terms and conditions of our payment partner.
Conditions of eligibility
What are the conditions for paying in monthly instalments?
Payment by monthly instalments is possible if :
- You are over 18
- You live in Switzerland or Liechtenstein
- The billing address must be identical to the delivery address
- Your shopping cart is between CHF 100 and CHF 10’000 (CHF 5’000 for new customers)
- The credit check is positive (via CembraPay)
What is the minimum amount for payment by instalments?
The minimum payment for 3 and 12 monthly instalments is CHF 100. If you wish to pay in 24 monthly instalments, the minimum order amount must be greater than CHF 1’500.
What is the maximum amount for payment by instalments?
You can pay by instalment up to a total amount of CHF 10’000, or CHF 5’000 if you are ordering from us for the first time by invoice or monthly instalments. Amounts from previous orders that have not yet been paid in full will be taken into account and deducted from your limit.
What happens if the product I want costs more than the maximum amount authorised by the monthly instalment plan?
The credit limit is CHF 5’000 for new customers and CHF 10’000 for existing customers. If the item you require exceeds this limit, you can pay the difference in advance. In this case, please contact our Customer Service department at info@uhrenschmuck24.ch.
How monthly payments work
When and how does the monthly payment work?
You will receive a monthly invoice by e-mail from our partner CembraPay. The date of the invoice depends on the date your order was sent. The first invoice is sent on the same day as your order and you have 20 days to pay this invoice. Other invoices are sent on the same date every month.
For example: If you place an order on 05.05. and your items are sent on 06.05., your invoice will also be sent on 06.05., with a payment deadline of 26.05. In subsequent months, the invoice will be sent on 06.06., and so on.
Can I change the payment date along the way?
No, it is not possible to change the payment date. The payment date depends on when your order is sent.
How do I receive my invoice in paper format?
The invoice is sent by e-mail by default, immediately after your order has been dispatched. If you wish to receive a paper invoice, please contact CembraPay or click on the link in your invoice email. The cost of sending paper invoices is CHF 4.25 per invoice.
What should I do if I don't receive an e-mail?
Please check your spam folder first. If you can't find the invoice, contact CembraPay AG directly (phone: 044 551 46 70 or e-mail: customer-care@cembrapay.ch).
Can I pay it all back sooner?
Yes, early repayment is possible via CembraPay. You can pay more than your monthly instalment at any time, but it is important to pay the minimum amount indicated each month. By paying a higher amount, the repayment period is shortened. Payments already made will first cover any late payment fees.
Who manages the instalment payments?
All billing is handled by CembraPay AG. CHRISTIAN AG has no influence on credit checks or payment decisions.
Returns and refunds
What happens in the event of a return?
If you return the order and your return is accepted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your credit note. The information that your order has been returned is also automatically sent to CembraPay.
Total return of the order: Your invoice is automatically cancelled once your return has been received and validated. If you have already started paying, CembraPay will contact you for a refund.
Partial return of the order: Only the part corresponding to the returned items is cancelled.
Will my monthly instalments be adjusted?
No, the monthly payments remain the same. Only the total amount of your invoice is adjusted, so the period over which you repay your order is reduced.
For example: You order 2 items, each costing CHF 1’500, and opt for a monthly payment over 12 months. The total amount is therefore CHF 3’000 and each monthly payment is CHF 250. You return one item and keep the second. The total bill is therefore only CHF 1’500. Each month you will have to pay CHF 250, and after 6 months you will have paid the CHF 1’500 for the item you kept.
Late payments and payment issue
What happens in the event of late payment?
Additional fees will be charged in the event of late payment:
- CHF 25 for the 1st reminder (sent by e-mail)
- CHF 30 for the 2nd reminder (sent by post)
Please note: Payments are initially used to settle outstanding interest on overdue payments.
Who can I contact if I have a billing problem?
If you have any questions about outstanding instalments or reminder fees, please contact CembraPay AG directly (phone: 044 551 46 70 or e-mail: customer-care@cembrapay.ch).
