Timeless, beautifully crafted bracelet.

Seiko Prospex Land A classic watch with a vintage touch. Everything about this model is (almost) perfect. After receiving the watch, I was very excited to see how it would feel in person. I was delighted as soon as I unpacked it, as it comes with outer packaging, just like the higher-priced models/brands. The watch itself is powered by Seiko's 6R35 automatic movement, which is visible through the screw-down case back. With a power reserve of up to 70 hours, you can even put the watch down with peace of mind. The accuracy is stated as +/- 15-25 seconds, but this is only when the watch is not being worn. The crown is screwed down, which makes it water-resistant to 20 bar/200 meters. So you can go for a dip in the pool or lake in the summer. I had no problems with the legibility of the dial either, as the sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on one side, and in the dark/at night, thanks to the LumiBrite coating on the hands and indices (it depends on how long the dial has been exposed to light), everything is brightly lit. As mentioned at the beginning, the watch has a vintage touch, also because the dial is a subtle grainy green with a slight fume effect, darkening almost to black towards the outside. As an extra, there is a date window on the dial, giving it another function. Here comes the almost: what I personally would have liked was if the crown was embellished with a logo. The bezel and parts of the case are highly polished, and the matte-finished steel bracelet flows beautifully into the lugs. The safety folding clasp with Seiko engraving is easy to use and stays closed. Also a big thank you to Christian Uhren und Schmuck for adjusting the bracelet free of charge. All in all, a great everyday watch that is sure to turn heads.

The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 in the version with the "Ice Blue" dial is more than just a watch – it is a successful symbiosis of retro charm, technical sophistication and modern aesthetics. As a passionate watch lover, I was already familiar with the design of the PRX series, but this version really impressed me. Here are my impressions in detail: ⸻ Design – A homage with its own identity Even upon unpacking, it is noticeable how much attention Tissot has paid to the design. The case is inspired by a model from 1978 and impresses with its clear lines, the integrated stainless steel bracelet and the flat construction. The look is very much in the style of the late 70s – angular, straightforward, minimalist – but at the same time reinterpreted in a modern and fresh way. The real highlight of this version, however, is the "Ice Blue" dial. It's hard to put into words how this dial looks in different lighting conditions – sometimes cool and metallic, sometimes soft and almost pastel. The fine honeycomb structure (Clous de Paris) gives the dial additional depth and texture. In combination with the applied indices and the simple, polished hands, a very harmonious overall appearance is created. The date display at 3 o'clock is easy to read and blends unobtrusively into the design. ⸻ Movement – Solid technology with endurance The PRX Powermatic 80 houses the automatic movement of the same name, which is distinguished by its exceptional power reserve of up to 80 hours – a truly unique selling point in this price range. Even if the watch isn't worn for a day or two, it will continue to run reliably. The movement is based on the ETA C07.111 and has been optimized to not only last longer but also use energy more efficiently. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers very good accuracy for everyday use. The transparent case back allows you to view the movement through the sapphire crystal – a beautiful addition for anyone who is also enthusiastic about the inner workings of a watch. ⸻ Craftsmanship & wearing comfort – first-class for this price range The entire workmanship of the watch is of the highest quality. The stainless steel case has a fine satin finish, with polished bevels that subtly reflect the light and provide elegant accents. The integrated stainless steel bracelet is also excellently made – solid, but not too heavy, pleasantly supple, and equipped with a high-quality butterfly clasp. The links nestle comfortably on the wrist and ensure a secure fit. With its 40 mm diameter and just under 11 mm thickness, the PRX wears very well – it is neither too bulky nor too inconspicuous. This makes it an ideal everyday companion that goes with both a suit and a T-shirt. ⸻ Conclusion – A watch that offers much more than it costs For me, the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Ice Blue is a real highlight in the under 1000 category. It offers not only an iconic design and excellent workmanship, but also a reliable and modern automatic movement with an impressive power reserve. The Ice Blue dial gives the watch a fresh, unusual look that is both stylish and timeless. It is just as interesting for newcomers to the world of mechanical watches as it is for experienced collectors looking for a wearable addition with strong character. Anyone who values quality, style and technical substance will find a loyal companion in the PRX Powermatic 80 Ice Blue – with soul and style. A real statement on the wrist – subtle but confident.

I’m really happy with this watch. It’s unique, elegant, and has a cool, sporty look that stands out. The carbon case feels light but tough, and the design is full of small details that make it special — like the rotating globes and the mountain on the back.

It’s not just good-looking — it also works well and shows two time zones, which is great if you travel or deal with different countries.

What I love most is how it mixes style and adventure. It’s classy enough for a suit, but still feels like a watch built for the outdoors. And since it’s a limited edition, it feels even more special to own.
