I am very happy with this watch. It was a bit strange at first that the second hand was in the background on a small dial, but you quickly got used to it and it's a good thing. The quality is also very good.

First of all: I would advise people with a wrist circumference of more than 19 cm against the 5s and would recommend the Fenix 5 or even 5x instead. The straps supplied are not long enough to fit. Garmin does have a strap for the 5s in XL length, but only in black and silicone and not particularly cheap. Better to just get the normal 5. Now for the review: As the owner of the Fenix 3 sapphire, I wasn't sure at first whether the change would be worth it. But I was not disappointed. The new 5s exceeds my expectations. In particular, the size now fits me perfectly. In contrast to the Fenix 3, which is the same size as the new 5x and was a really important companion, the 5s looks like a normal wristwatch. It is very light and very comfortable. I wear it 24/7, including at night for sleep tracking. The ability to swap wristbands is perfect, and the Sapphire model came with an extra yellow silicone wristband. Changing them takes less than 2 seconds. I swap the black wristband for the yellow one depending on my outfit, and I also ordered the leather wristband separately for everyday use. In terms of functions, not much has changed compared to the predecessor: The biggest change is certainly the Move IQ - this makes the fitness tracker a little smarter and automatically recognizes certain activities such as cycling to work. What's new is that there is a practical shortcut menu on the light button, a distinction between performance levels in anaerobic and aerobic fitness, and then there are lots of small, subtle changes and modifications. The GPS accuracy of the Ultratrack has improved significantly. Nothing has changed with the normal 1Hz sampling, the Fenix was already very accurate. In terms of altitude measurement, I have found the 5s to be more accurate so far. Floors climbed are now counted much more accurately. The Garmin app and synchronization are now very good and everything works smoothly with Garmin.
