A very beautiful watch, I can only recommend it.

I decided on the P99 Q Tactical Black. The size, the workmanship and the dial that gives a 2-dimensional look. The Trigalight is brilliant (which Luminox also uses). I also own a Luminox, but actually, a Traser is the real Luminox. With a Zulu strap my P99 looks great

Hamilton Khaki Field Murph

In my opinion the best most versatile swiss watch under a thousand CHF.

If you are looking for a flashy watch this isn't a piece for you.

It has a black dial with cathedral hands paired with cream numerals and detailing. Showcasing a modest size of 38mm. It comes with a metal bracelet that gives the watch more presence than the leather version does. I find the bracelet to be well made.

It's a subtle watch that you can pair with a lot of different styles and can be a superb daily watch without it looking out of place or being too intrusive.

I find it appealing also from the historical side as well. The importance of the Hamilton brand and their line of field watches is intriguing too me.

Dating back to the 19 century Hamilton based in Pennsylvania USA was one of, if not, the first to create the field watch style as we know it today.

They shifted from making pocket watches to wrist watches and played an integral part of the field watch DNA. Supplying soldiers with watches already in ww1.

In ww2 they produced over a million field watches for allied soldiers. If you look at the design of those watches it really remained the same through out the years.

They shifted their production in the 60s to Switzerland and made it an interesting pairing of two innovative countries.

It houses Hamilton's own H10 movement that is based on the ETA 28.24 movement. Since Hamilton is a part of the Swatch Group brand.

As far as I am aware (I could be wrong) they made a few adjustments, one of them being the 80h power reserve but the downside is the less smooth second hand witch now has less vibrations per hour.

The watch also holds it's place in cinema history as you can see it playing an integral part in the plot of the movie Interstelar. Hence the name Murph. It's nod to one of the main characters in the movie.

All in all one of the best choices you can make for the sub 1k Swiss watch category.

The downside for me would be that the glass is too reflective. Anti-reflective Sapphire crystal coating would be desired. But I am currently to in love with the watch to care for it too much.

Sadly I cannot elaborate more on the movement but I cannot wait to learn more.

Very nice watch

I really like the ring. The sapphire is very beautiful and the diamonds are very well assembled.

It is a magnificent watch, very readable with its magnificent grainy dial and this vintage effect. The only small downside is its bracelet which is thin compared to other watches but otherwise nothing to complain about.
