As a very satisfied wearer of the previous model (Marq Golfer), I was excited about the Gen. 2. Visually almost identical, it impresses above all with the massively upgraded AMOLED display and the touchscreen. While the pixelation and contrast strength of the previous model no longer seemed contemporary, the Gen. 2 offers a significant improvement that can easily keep up with an Apple Watch. The Marq does its job on the golf course; with the coupled CT-10 sensors, completed rounds can be analyzed with pleasure without having to manually confirm the clubs individually during the game. The Marq is also suitable for other sports, although I only use a fraction of the extensive range. The two straps (jacquard weave and silicone) are comfortable to wear; if you use the watch for swimming or don't take it off when showering, the nylon strap is not recommended as it will suffer. The only downside that I already had with the previous model is the cheap-looking vibration motor. For a watch in this price range, I would have liked an analogue motor like the one in the Apple Watch. This is probably due to the further improved battery performance - here I would have accepted the compromise that the battery performance would be lower than with a better vibrating motor. Otherwise, I am very happy with the watch and can highly recommend it as a sports watch - but especially for people who are interested in golf.
The watch's workmanship is top notch. The dial has a great pattern and the "Open Heart" makes it really fun to read the time. I wear the watch with a black leather strap, which I think makes the watch even more elegant. I would recommend the watch to anyone who enjoys mechanical watches and is looking for something elegant with a simple yet interesting design.
