The Certina DS Podium Chrono Precidrive 1/10 WRC Limited Edition immediately catches the eye with its strong green accents on the otherwise almost completely black and white watch, making it a real eye-catcher. The green color is certainly a matter of taste, but no one can deny the watch's sporty elegance. In addition to the obvious visual appeal, what I particularly like about the watch is the very high-contrast dial with the large hour markers and the wide hour and minute hands, which differ significantly in length. These ensure very good legibility even in dim light. The date display is also a good size and visibility. As is typical for Certina, the workmanship is impeccable and the Precidrive movement should do its job for many years without any problems. Also worth mentioning is the pretty case back with the engraved(?) WRC logo and serial number; after all, there are only 999 of this limited model! The leather strap with its green decorative stitching and the elegant, completely black butterfly clasp is also pleasing and completes the very high-quality overall impression of the watch. My only small (or very small) points of criticism are that the large green second hand of the stopwatch is not perfectly at zero when not in use, but is slightly offset to the left, and that the green color of the decorative stitching on the strap is not exactly the same as that of the border. However, this is very pedantic and many people will probably not even notice, or perhaps it is an isolated case with my watch as far as the second hand is concerned. In summary, a high-quality, sporty and elegant watch at a fair price that will definitely attract a few glances.
