I bought the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Chronograph as a gift for my boyfriend. Even upon unpacking it, you can tell it's a high-quality watch. The packaging is very elegant and sophisticated, perfect for gifting. The watch itself makes a solid, robust impression. The stainless steel case, the bezel with its characteristic "claws," and the dial with its three chronograph subdials look even better in person than in the photos. My boyfriend likes sporty-elegant watches, and the Aikon fits perfectly into this category: it looks masculine, modern, yet not too ostentatious. It has a presence on the wrist – precisely because it's relatively large and not the lightest watch. On a slimmer wrist, it might look a bit bulky, but on my boyfriend (who has a normal-width wrist), it looks really good. The stainless steel bracelet is beautifully crafted, feels sturdy and high-quality, but shortening the links was a bit tedious and almost impossible without tools. The dial is easy to read: the hands and indices are clear, and the contrasts are very pleasing, depending on the color variant. The chronograph functions work flawlessly, are easy to operate, and give the watch that sporty character that many men appreciate. My boyfriend wears it both every day and for more formal occasions, and it goes with both – jeans and a t-shirt just as well as a shirt and jacket. My only criticism is that those who prefer very light, understated watches might not be entirely satisfied with this one. The metal bracelet is a bit stiff at first but becomes more comfortable over time. Price-wise, it's not exactly a bargain – you're clearly paying for the design, the brand, and the craftsmanship.

The price-quality ratio is unbeatable, the solar movement is perfect, the only real drawback is the bracelet because it is very hard and the crown has a very slight movement, but I think that's intentional.

A very beautiful, minimalist, and understated watch. It can be combined with various straps, all of which complement it well. The 39 mm size is perfect. It boasts the mechanical quality of a Tissot Powermatic. You couldn't ask for more.
