I'm now the proud owner of a Garmin Fenix 8 Pro. Previously, I owned an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I really like the Fenix because it feels more like a classic watch than an Apple Watch. It does many things very well; some functions are good, but somewhat pointless. That's true of other watches as well, though! The Fenix's operation could be a bit more user-friendly; the Apple Watch is clearly better in this regard. The speaker quality and the buzzing of the vibration motor were a bit of a negative surprise. I was used to something different. I thought that other manufacturers, especially in this price range, would also manage to produce a speaker with a clear, clean, pleasant sound, and that the vibration motor wouldn't sound like a vibration motor, but simply vibrate my wrist without being very audible. What I find truly outrageous is that when I buy a watch for over €1000, it only has full SOS functions and LTE with a subscription. I can't use my own eSIM for the LTE functions. This is due to the technology the Fenix uses for LTE. But it could have at least remained free for two years, or even completely free. All in all, though, I'm very happy with my Fenix.
