While looking for a retro diving watch, I came across the Certina PH200M. I was actually fixated on the Mido Ocean Star Tribute, but the slightly larger Certina with its ceramic bezel won me over immediately. Unfortunately, Certina only offers the blue version with a leather and NATO strap, but thanks to Christian, the Milanese strap was quickly obtained. What cannot be seen in any of the pictures of the watch is the golden shimmer of the bezel lettering, hands and Certina logos in the oblique light, simply brilliant and super beautiful! Many thanks also to Christian for the very fast delivery, it won't be my last order ;)

Classic and under the radar

If you don’t want to attract attention and want to wear a classic watch this is a very good option.

The finishing on the dial show manufacturing marks which is inevitable for this material. It’s an interesting feature, like a sun burst dial on metal, I like it.
The finishing on the case is perfect no complaints.
My watch has a small misalignment for the hour hand, it could bother others, but I’ve learnt to appreciate small flaws!

The only true negative is the strap: although very good quality leather, it’s not comfortable to put on or wear. I find the butterfly clasp to be uncomfortable. However the color is perfect so I bought another black strap with a regular clasp.

I find the placement of the date wheel and its integration on the dial very subtle.

I rate this watch 5/5 for myself but others could easily rate it 4/5 due to above considerations so make your own decision before purchasing.
