Watch was defective
Customer service was top notch, I was very impressed at how patient and accommodating the staff was. I ended up buying two watches, including this Longines Flagship Moonphase.
However, I can't say the same for the watch. The watch I got was the display model, since there's only one of each model in the store at any time, from what I was told. The tip of the leather strap already had visible use, which I was initially fine with. The watch face was beautiful, and the details were phenomenal. After winding it up 30-40 times before leaving the store, the second hand stopped moving after 2 hours of sitting on my wrist during office work. It started moving again when I lightly patted the face like good old percussive repair. I brought it back to have it checked out, but was told that they didn't have the tools to test it. The assistant helped me wind the watch even more to be sure and asked me to bring to an authorized watch repair store.
I brought it to Bucherer whose machine said everything was fine, and it was probably because I didn't wind it enough. They wound it another 30-40 times and said I needed to learn how automatic watches work. I stepped out of the Bucherer store and the second hand stopped again. I smacked the face and it started moving again.
Since then I've worn it all day every day, and the same thing has happened 3 more times. Finally brought it in for repairs at a Longines service center. Less than a week of purchase, the watch has left me. I'm still waiting for Longines to tell me what the problem is.
It's either bad QC on Longines part, or is returned goods. Either way I'm now without a watch. :(
