The luminous material is very strong and the watch would be an ideal everyday or travel watch - however, the day of the week disc never switched correctly from the start and got stuck in an intermediate position during the day. The design of the day of the week disc, which switches three times in the evening from the previous day in English to an intermediate position, to German and then lands in an intermediate position again, is simply a nonsensical design. Seiko should remove the day of the week disc from its models entirely and just keep the number disc.
